Yellow Tent Beyond Mine
A challenge to norms, privilege, and might,
In this space, new narratives alight.
My tent, a nexus, private and broad,
Where power's dynamics are keenly awed.
U.S. views, under scrutiny's lens,
In every corner, convention bends.
Here, in this tent, a dichotomy's dance,
My perspectives, my narratives glance.
A transnational dialogue, boldly unfurled,
In the heart of the North, a new world swirled.
Art-making, my guiding light,
Embracing positionality, in academia's night.
Language barriers, landscapes shift,
In State College, my spirit's adrift.
A feminist transnational, redefined,
In a global context, uniquely designed.
Through this tent, my art declares,
A world reimagined.
Redefine.

The yellow tent has become an extension of my transnational living archive, fostering an intimate connection with herself. Taking the yellow tent out of her small apartment for a graduate course exhibition, she shared her transnational stories with faculty and peers transforming private narratives into public dialogue
