Moving and Feng shui Energy, A Tent for My Mother
But I feel that I have always been quite a lucky person, so I drew a light outside the tent. In my life, there are moments when light appears. Even in chaos, there is still light.
The front balcony is linked to financial luck. If it’s cluttered, it might block good energy, so better to clean it up quickly.
I created my tent on a paper from my sketch book, chosen from what was left at home after I moved most of my art supplies to school. What is my tension in the tent? like different parts of myself pulled by daily responsibilities. I often feel weighed down by endless tasks at school, struggling to regain a sense of direction. Still, I believe I am someone touched by light. I painted light outside the tent as a reminder that even in uncertainty, light continues to appear.
Inside the tent, I placed a small sparrow, an image of quiet solitude and space to breathe. In my new home, where I can see the sky through open windows, I feel a sense of peace through simple acts like organizing. When I lose inspiration, I clean. These daily rhythms help me return to myself.
I want to invite my mother into this space. She has grown thinner recently, and I hope she can stay with me so I can give her emotional support. I want to offer her a pause from the pressures of life. My father often speaks in ways that leave her burdened. I hope this space can offer something more inclusive and belonging with me.
Something shifted during my recent move. For the first time, my mother asked if she should introduce my boyfriend to my father. That day, we shared lunch together. My partner brought simple rice boxes, and we sat around the table. The moment passed quickly, but to me, it held quiet meaning.
This tent holds small rituals (Feng shui), gestures of care, and feelings that are hard to speak aloud. It is a space of soft strength, grounding energy, and quiet light. Here, I reclaim a place to breathe, to love, and to hold my mother close.
